Polar Plaza Ice Skating

Polar Plaza will be open Nov. 19th through Jan. 1st. 

Join us for art, ice, and everything nice this holiday season when CHI Franciscan Polar Plaza comes to downtown Tacoma for its sixth year of ice skating on Tollefson Plaza located at 17th and Pacific.

Metro Parks Tacoma is working with the Tacoma Art Museum, CHI Franciscan and other community organizations to present the winter fun.

CHI Franciscan Polar Plaza is a special place for the community to come together and make memories to last a lifetime. Enjoy music, special holiday events, and more in partnership with Tacoma Art Museum.  This year, Metro Parks Tacoma, will be the managing partner of the rink and will offer many new theme nights and promotions. 

The plaza will be a focal point throughout the holidays, including being “aglow” during First Night, Tacoma’s family friendly celebration of New Year’s Eve. There will also be a full schedule of special events, such as nature-based activities, fitness on ice, live music, contests and skate performances.
